Oneworld tier points

I just found http://britishairways.com/execclub/usa/earning/docs/points.shtml which says that AA Economy flights earn BA tier points. I didn't think that was true and I was not given tier points on a recent AA Y fare.

It is true. AA Y fares earn miles and points in the Executive Club, with the normal exception of transatlantic flights.

Actually, to be more specific, full fare economy fares get BOTH tier points and mileage credit. Most economy fares (other than full fares) only receive mileage credit.

An aside:

I flew LHR-HAM last Saturday (Apr 10) on a super low "dirt-cheap" econo fare, and have already received the minimum 500 miles (451 actual miles) for the flight on my Canadian Plus account. Counts a tier status for me.

Love CP's online points statements.

But too bad for me! CP still has posted the points for my YUL-YYZ flights on April 2. However, the return flight, reservation and virtual ticket bonus are there already.

Really waiting for it, as I hate sending them my boarding pass for points

In March I flew from Panama to Vancouver, and forgot to have my CP FF number put on the AA reservation, so not surprisingly, I didn't receive points for the trip. I simple scanned the boarding passes (e-ticket) and e-mailed them in. Took about 3 weeks for a definitive response, but they did accept the e-mailed copies.
