Another ticket vs reservation question

I changed the dates of an already started AONE via AA's RTW desk. Have newly issued ticket with all dates/classes confirmed. I moved the dates from May/Jun of 2017 to Dec-Jan 2018 (1st flight was 25-Mar-2017)

When I check the Amadeus PNR via BA.com (I had an early BA flight), those flights are listed correctly. The non-Amedeus flights are listed as 'informational' only. Yet my AA ticket & PNR show these flights as confirmed. The other odd thing is that the MH flights are in the Amadeus PNR, but not the JL flights. I thought that MH & JL did not use either Sabre or Amadeus GDS.

My brother & I had problems with QR when AA change the date of a QR flight. In both cases the updated info was correct via AA.com, yet it required an extra 30 minutes or so during check-in for the QR flights.

Should I be worried?

Yes, particularly if you try to check in near the check in time limit (eg 90 min prior).

IME I have a current xONEx which has been messed up (somehow) by either BA, AA or QF during date changes. On a recent flight MIA (AA) LAX (QF) SYD, AA were unable to issue the BP for the onward QF flight and told me to get it at LAX. Problem was a 2 hr connection at LAX and we had to get to QF (lounge or gate) after arrival within space of 30 min before the check in cut off was invoked. QF lounge staff had to phone ticketting downstairs prior to issuing the BP and this took more time than I possibly imagined because they were already dealing with other problems. I don't know the reason for the problem but I still can't use QF MMB for upcoming flights on the same ticket (inspite of QF phone staff saying "alls OK".

I don't know if anyone else experienced this but I had QR just cancel/drop flights from my DONE4 and from my son's LONE4 repeatedly. When we were last in JNB the day before QR flight JNB-DOH-ORD, I happened to pull up our reservations on AA.com - sure enough, no QR flights. Called AA RTW and they confirmed that QR simply removed/canceled those segments of our ticket. AA tried to add them back, no J inventory... they had to contact QR directly and were able to convince them to give our J seats back despite no inventory. It took almost 90 minutes over the phone to get things fixed.

If we showed up, even 2-3 hours before, I'm guessing we'd have risked missing our flight. I don't have any more QR flights in my current DONE4 and so far, none in my next one... but I'd warn people to check back often if you have QR flights with AA ticketed XONEX.

Exactly as they should be.

Yet my AA ticket & PNR show these flights as confirmed.
Also as they should be. The non-Amadeus flights just appear as an FYI in Amadeus; they're confirmed in Sabre, and whichever system the other airlines use.

The other odd thing is that the MH flights are in the Amadeus PNR, but not the JL flights. I thought that MH & JL did not use either Sabre or Amadeus GDS.
I believe MH is in Amadeus but JL is Sabre (for now). You also only usually get info segs when they are a connection to an active segment in Amadeus - anything that an airline agent in Amadeus might need to see as a through connection. Anything after a stopover might not be visible.

Nothing unusual here at all, I wouldn't worry one bit.

Same thing happened to me as well regarding the DOH-CDG QR flights. I only spent about 30 minutes on phone to AA from DOHA, but AA fixed it. I have had several agents tell me that this happens a lot with QR.

To JAXBA: Thanks for the update on these procedures.

More wierdness on my Amadeus PNR via ba.com. When I sign in to my BA account, it lists the reservations associated with my BAEC number. The flight displayed on the landing page is the next flight, but with the old date. When I click thru to the actual reservation, all is OK. Why is the landing page displaying flights with the incorrect dates? It is annoying to say the least.

Not sure why, but it may be related to bookings not appearing at all when signed into BAEC accounts, an issue that is regularly reported on the BA forum: http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/briti...tter-free.html

Possibly something to do with cache, etc., but might be worth quoting your last post in that thread.

To be safe, I would check with each operating carrier to make sure they see you confirmed on their flight and see the latest e-ticket number.
