Guesting into lounge - two airlines.
Hi folks,
I'm BA Gold (OW Emerald) and last week travelled CPH-DOH in QR, J class.
My partner with no FF status was flying at around the same time CPH-LHR on BA.
The OneWorld guesting rules based on tier level states:
'Emerald and Sapphire members may invite one guest. The guest must also be travelling on a flight marketed and operated by a OneWorld carrier'. Stupidly, I wish I printed this from the website as when I arrived at the lounge the attendant refused entry to my guest as he was not on the same flight as me.
Has anyone else had this experience? Am I mis-reading the rules here? Or was the lounge attendant in the wrong?

If you tried to access a OW airline operated lounge, than that would be no problem. Personally guested friends who were flying other OW airlines than me.

The rules can vary lounge to lounge.
CPH - look it up here: https://www.oneworld.com/ffp/lounge-...eaccess/CPH/-1
Qatar use the "Aspire" lounge and is available for PAX travelling on QATAR only.
BA use either the "Aviator Business Lounge or the CPH Apartment Lounge.
