AA has a lot of direct flights throughout the US.
With the amount of flights AA has, there are not enough flight numbers available (total limit of 9999) for AA to give numbers to all their normal flights, codeshares, charters, positioning, etc. So a number of flights are given direct flight numbers.
Many of these are short in/out return flights such as JFK-BOS-JFK or LAX-SFO-LAX having the same number for both legs on the same aircraft.
Others are, for example LAX-ORD-STL. These tend to be one way and seasonal.
You might get lucky and find a YYZ-MCO direct flight (via ORD, JFK, LGA, PHL, DFW, CLT or MIA) for the dates you need.

I agree. The problem is how can I find them. GF has nothing I need. Hmmm....

I use ExpertFlyer, either Flight Availability search or Timetable search. It's a subscription service but one that I find extremely useful.

BA RTW Department - Europe
 

I needed to make some changes to a BA-issued DONE4 and called their usual customer service line in UK. After I explained what I wanted, the customer service rep said she can not do that as it is a RTW ticket. For me previously changes were always made by whoever picked up the phone...yes very slowly and with a lot back and forth but I always got there after a few days latest. So she told me she would need to put me through to their RTW specialist team. And indeed I was soon talking to someone who knew the rules and got things done straightaway. It was refreshing as I had lost count of the number of times I have had to educate OW explorer rules OW airlines' ticketing staff.

I'm posting this as I was not aware BA still has RTW specialists available for customer service. If anyone needs to contact BA for RTW ticket changes, it makes sense to ask to talk to this team rightaway.

I thought that AA was the only oneworld airline that still had an active RTW specialist desk (even though it appears that BA is the airline that maintains the rule documents).

I was aware that BA has RTW specialists in its Fares section
but during my last BA-issued ticket, in 2015/6, they were not client facing - had to use the CSR as the go-between, which as you said induces delays, and miscommunication too

Its good to know that they are now client-facing (though my current RTW is AA-issued, so I will stick with its RTW Desk)

Refusal to reroute an ex-Cairo RTW ticket
 

I have an ex-Cairo RTW ticket that is in use (2 sectors flown already) and am trying to add several sectors to the rest of the ticket. My new routing complies fully with the rules of the RTW ticket but RJ, which issued the ticket, is refusing to reroute the ticket saying they have consulted One World which currently only allows date changes (and not rerouting requests) of all ex-Cairo RTW tickets. RJ said that if I need to add sectors to the ticket, they would need to charge me full fare for the extra sectors. This is just unacceptable. When I bought the ticket, the rules clearly stated that rerouting is allowed (albeit with a penalty) and now RJ wants to change the rules of the game (during the game!!). Has anyone encountered a similar situation? Isn't RJ violating the terms of the fare by refusing to reroute it?

RJ is talking nonsense (IMHO)
When you purchased your ticket, a contract was formed - which included the Fare Rules that were in place on that day
And those fare rules allow you to re-route your itinerary (subject to the USD125 change fee, and a re-computation of the taxes, fees and charges)

When I had an ongoing problem with a Oneworld airline, I emailed the CEO of Oneworld. It was handballed to an underling, but they did take action and got it sorted.

I searched on ceomail.com to find the correct email address (but I see that the site still lists the previous CEO)
The new CEO is named Rob Gurney - I'm sure you can guess his email address;)

I tried CX but they said they had stopped dealing with ex-Cairo tickets since November last year - nothing I can say to that because CX is not obligated to takeover RJ's ticket. Maybe I'll try AA or BA - but won't keep my hopes up.

I called RJ's Call center in Amman to deal with this but it was like just hitting a stone-wall. Any ways that i can get to a higher level at RJ?

I just went through some changes (and some extreme fuel fine pain for TATL on AA) with QF on my ex-Cairo Done 3. No mas no fus, there was even some time spent trying to deal with the fact that my EGP fare was changing and asking for an extra EGP100. Not one peep about it being an ex-Cairo fare or that the ticket has been touched by QF, BA, QR (which was an experience x2) and CX, without issue since I flew Sector 1 in Jan 2017.

So my change today:
Original - xxxx-HKG-JFK-DOH-AMM-CAI (had a QF agent last time who couldn't handle the ME surface sector DOH-CAI).
New - xxxx-HKG-EWR//LGA-DCA//BWI-LHR-ZRH-LHR-CAI
Fuel fine add/collect -> $555, so f-ing ridiculous. Flying AA was a $100 cheaper with an extra flight, but given my travel it wasn't worth the extra flight and slight savings.
