Buying J on OW
I have a trip coming up in the spring and am trying to figure out the best time to buy business class tickets. With economy, it seems to be that some cheap fare buckets open up around 6 weeks out. Is that true of business class, or is it usually just discount & full fare?
If it makes a difference, I am looking for open jaw to Sydney and home from Singapore (cruising between those cities).

Home is PHX but I am willing to drive to LAX or LAS since they sometimes have better international fares (e.g. when it was $1800/pp more PHX-DXB than LAX-DXB).

PHX-???-SYD by Oneworld airlines would be AA or QF. TN & FJ also fly USA-xxx-Australia and are AA partners. And others via Asia (CX & JL) and via South America (LA)
FT is not the best place to find cheap air fares. Would expect business class fares not to have the price variation seen with economy fares.
I note you now have posts about getting miles for awards.
Getting business class awards (2 off?) USA to Australia is difficult. Many threads on this topic.
