Qantas or Qatar in J? [Edited Title]

I'm on a DONE RTW and can fly SYD-DOH on Qatar in J (or technically D) or SYD-DXB on Quantas. Which is better hard product? Which is overall better experience?

Between those two, I'd fly Qatar because Quantas is a mythical airline and does not exist.

You got me. I'd edit the original post, but wouldn't that just make it worse?

In general I'd say that Qatar's J is better than Qantas, but SYD-DOH is a 777 which isn't their best. It's still good, but Qantas on the A380 might just edge them out on hard product. Service is good on both. I fly both fairly often and have a preference for Qatar, but this route isn't their finest - it's only been running since March, I've flown it twice so far and it's been ok.

QR will be operating the A380 from 16 September on the SYD route. So if your dates fit could be a good alternative. With 1-2-1 layout with all seats having aisle access, personally I think that alone beats QF old 2-2-2 layout with SkyBedII.
