OW Code Share benefit

Just about to book this, Qantas is running a companion business class special. Emirates metal with Qantas code, would I get any benefit as OWE? i.e. F lounge, extra luggage & status points?

I can't remember if you get any credit to AM/MPC (you would if you credit to BA),but certainly no elite benefits on EK metal.

The only cool aspect of QF-EK deal for us,the OW folks is access to EK lounge in DXB,when flying QF (marketed and operated),including F lounge for OWE.

To get oneworld benefits the flight needs to be marketed and operated by a OW carrier, which is not the case here.

Miles/points depends on which OW program you are crediting to. BA Executive Club for example treats EK operated QF coded flights the same as QF operated flights.

I see. However, the stupid QF only leave Sydney in the afternoon and depart Christchurch in the early morning.... also 737 recline seat on QF vs EK 777 .....

for same price, which one would you guys choose as OWE?

Yes, but the flight is only 2:30 so no need for a bed.

The screen shot you have are the EK operated flights. QF have different times with B737 aircraft

Chose on the schedule that suits you. Other people will like the QF times, (as I do for SYD-CHC).
There is no advantage in buying a return or using the same carrier both ways.
