LAX to DXB - EY or QR?

Will be flying to DXB from LAX next year.
My first choice would be EY F but that does not seem very likely in the current climate.
Given a choice between QR and EY J, which would you take?
BTW, I do not mind the extra leg if using QR via DOH - more interested in the quality of J experience (overall) on these long flights.
TIA

As this really doesn't have anything to do with American Airlines, we will move this to the oneworld forum for better exposure.

Do note only QR will provide AA EQM; EY will provide only redeemable, not EQ, miles unless you can book it as AA marketed (usually requiring a connection from or to AA).

I posted it on AA forum as I will be using AA miles for award travel and know that many AA FF have used both airlines for awards.
Perhaps it will get more replies here - thanks.

LAX to DXB - EY or QR?

I'd do EY...Their J seats are far superior to the QR 777 ones

Thank you. I'll try for EY but they have been stingier with awards than QR.

You can also make use of EY's Chauffeur service.

I did LAX-AUH in August on the 772LR. That is a long flight!

The 5pm departure and 16 hour flight time allows enough time to enjoy the dinner service and still get a full nights sleep.
