Missing OWE flight

We are in the middle of Oneworld Explorer ticket with HKG-NRT and NRT-HNL the next flights (stopover in NRT).

To catch the ticket, we'll probably fly to NRT. Instead of flying to back and forth to HKG, what happens if we simply "miss" the first HKG-NRT flight. Can be board the NRT-HNL flight, or will all the remaining flights be invalidated for a no-show?

Missing OWE flight

You must board all flights. Otherwise the rest of your ticket will be cancelled.

You can change the ticket to drop the segment you no longer want
It will cost you the USD125 change fee

If you do make the change, make certain that all remaining segments are intact. Incompetent agents messing with your ticket make it easy for bad things to happen.

Ok, so we'll fly to HKG somehow then

I try to keep rest of the flights as simple as possible. We had quite a mess with the ticket when we changed routing earlier this year, AA claimed no taxes were paid and JNB fixed it but we still had to pay too much. It was discussed here earlier as the same had happened to an Australian fellow twice.

The routing has another issue with the HNL-DFW leg, there's practically no A availability, just F and/or P. Weird.

Just checked the ticket (I changed the dates last week) and noticed that the HNL-DFW flight is no longer on the ticket at all. Fuu..

Considering that there's only one flight with A-fare availability between now and end of October, that might actually be a good thing.
