Best use of one world points?
We have status on US and I believe enough points to fly business to BKK in early Nov for a conference but need to stop in London on way back for 2 days. Depart from CLT should we head east or west? On a previous trip I had done a stopover in London for a week but was told recently that this was not applicable any more. Before I call the airlines I want to have an idea of what I should be looking at. Thank you!!

Assuming you mean you have US Dividend Miles, then what you can and cannot do is subject to the rules of the US frequent flyer program
So your question is better asked in the US Airways forum.

There is no such thing as 'one world points', and there is not a common frequent flyer currency between oneworld airlines.

OP has re-posted the question on the (appropriate) AA/US board, so closing this thread.
