Hello All
Please help I have to fly a short sector Tokyo to Shanghai OW and the fares seem exorbitant. I am thinking of spending miles on my Etihad or Qatar Airways account to get an award ticket on a one world airline. Any ideas which one world line flies this route and how I can book an award ticket using my QR or EY miles?
Thanks

Spring Airlines fly from Ibaraki, I believe. I also recall hearing there's a cheap bus connection from Tokyo station to the airport. Someone said it takes max. 1.5h.

I recommend taking a look. It's a LCC, but I would not hesitate to fly with them.

I've flown on Spring a few times, and the seats are horribly cramped and painfully uncomfortable to boot, but their employees are almost universally pleasant, and their fares are far less than any other carrier between Japan and China. Still, since I have a lot of BA points and SHA-TYO only requires 7.5k, that's how I fly.

Spring Airlines from Ibaraki is just $200 !
With such significant difference in fare for a 3 hour flight I wouldn't mind flying with them
I've been advised that Ibaraki airport is really hard to get to and requires a train and bus journey from Ginza. A direct bus would be very convenient. Can somebody kindly give more details on it?
Thanks

I thought css operated the bus to its airport on its own. Even if not they feature it prominently on their website.
I would still use ba miles on Jl though. Hnd-sha is a great use of miles.
