Baggage allowance for domestic segment of OneWorld ticket
I've got a AONEW3 ex-Asia. (First class row ticket). On CX and BA which are the flights I take into US and out of US I'm allowed 70/lbs per bag. So when I normally fly for example LGA to DFW stopover then to LHR on BA within a couple of days AA allows me 70lbs for the LGA-DFW leg because I'll be traveling in a couple of days on BA that allows 70lbs/bag.
This time I'm just taking one domestic segment DFW-SFO connecting on a separate ticket to SQ F. So from AA's point of view there is no immediate connection on BA or CX. Will AA allow me 70lbs for the DFW-SFO flight even if my international travel is like 3 months away on that ticket?

Moved from the American Airlines | AAdvantage (post merger) forum to oneworld Forum, where you are likely to get more informed responses.

What allowance is listed against each segment on your ticket? It should show 2PC.
There is a minimum allowance specified within the fare rules: (http://www.oneworld.com/documents/10...9-d346ec820edf)
Now, as a oneworld Emerald, you are entitled to an additional piece of checked baggage at no charge when travelling oneworld: (http://www.oneworld.com/ffp/emerald-privileges)
So, through the entire journey you should be entitled to at least 3 x 23kg and likely more.

Two free pieces of 23 kilos each shall be permitted. Additional allowances may apply. Refer to individual

Extra baggage allowance
As an Emerald frequent flyer you can check in one additional bag for free in addition to your ticketed baggage allowance when you fly on oneworld airlines. If your ticket mentions a weight allowance, you can check in an extra 20kgs (44lbs). (This benefit is not available on British Airways 'Hand Baggage Only' fares on select short-haul routes.)
