Canadi>n was a founding member of the alliance. Perhaps we'll see the day a new airline enters the Canadian market.
Given the current selection of WestJet, Canjet, Sunwing, Air Transat, Porter, Bearskin, Buffalo, and anything else listed here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_airlines_of_Canada I don't see (m)any contenders with a suitable route network or minimum level of service that I would like to see join oneworld. At least in YYZ we're well taken care of with CX for Asia, AA for the US and BA for Europe.

I think this is the wrong forum for this discussion, but since we're here....
WestJet is better (or at least no worse) than airberlin which offers a single class cabin on it's shorthaul routes. Sure they offer business class longhaul, but since WestJet doesn't offer longhaul routes, I'd think that they'd be a logical fit. They're codesharing with AA and CX anyhow.
