Be interesting if Etihad (unaligned, but competitor to Qatar and strong relationship with Virgin Australia)
has stakes in both

Even worse, now they owns 70% of topbonus, the FFP for AB.
Etihad will certainly assert their influence on oneworld, indirectly.

I just did a two week tour of India and was in six domestic airports. In many of them, the Kingfisher signage is coming down and other low-cost airlines are taking over the office space. If they're going to start again and use their existing infrastructure, there's no time to lose.
