oneworld Explorer Award Itinerary
Sure would appreciate any suggestions on how to fly around the world using One World's 25,000 miles.
Depart June 30 - August 20
Business Class
I came up with this (reserved):
ORD/NRT (AA135) - Because the ORD/HKG CX (less miles) is not available.
NRT/HAN - Never been. GREAT Food in SGN.
HAN/BKK
BKK/DEL - Might switch to BOM for no particular reason.
DEL/AMM - See Petra. The plane goes there. Might skip this place.
AMM/TLV -Never been. Plane goes there.
TLV /AMM/VIE - Meet up with friends.
VIE/MAD/ATH - Horrible route. Avoid LON. Never been. Plane goes there.
Food.
The above is 2k miles "out of the way" but necessary UNLESS... would you pay the $300 for two tickets and fly VIE/ATH NS?
ATH/MAD - Heading home, Plane goes there. Food and August festivals.
MAD/JFK/ORD - Can't get the MAD/ORD NS
24,500 miles @ business = 150,000
The "original" tirp was CX F to BKK, then sit on our asses and eat. Thought we'd try something different this year, but desperately need some tips.

Shouldn't this be in the RTW forum?
Cheers.

There is no such thing as "oneworld miles." The OP obviously wants to spend AA miles on an Explorer award. So, this is the appropriate forum.

Don't miss Petra. You can hire a care to pick you up in Amman, overnight two nights, and either return to Amman or continue to Aqaba (for the scenic ride) and fly RJ from Aqaba to Amman to TLV.

There are so many options. It's hard to think out of the box. Is there a "storage" of itinerary suggestions/traveled somewhere?

Of course, there is a school of thought here on FT that if one flies one's normal flights primarily on AA, then all one's questions belong on the AA forum, no matter the topic. In other words, that FT should be organized around the poster, rather than the topic. That seems to be in play here.

No it wouldn't. The oneworld award is an AA award and as such discussion about it shoud be in the AA forum and specifically in this thread:
