AA - Still best carrier to book with?
Is AA still the best carrier to ticket a xONEx with in terms of YQ?
I just priced out a DONE3 with the online tool. ICN-xNRT-LAX-BOS-xDFW-ANC-xDFW-ATL-xORD-xAMM-CDG-HEL-xFCO-xLHR-SIN-HND-GMP
Came out with 70.5% of the total taxes as YQ (800,100.00 KRW).

Maybe this has something to do with the mandatory fuel surcharges for flights to and from Japan? According to the official table almost 2/3rds of your YQ could be for that.

When I priced out some trips I found it saved hundreds and hundreds of dollars to book LAX-HKG rather than LAX-NRT-HKG. I was surprised, since I'd thought that LHR was the only danger spot.
