Madrid lounges?

How are the OW lounges in Madrid? Do any have showers, wifi, .etc?

The One World site is sparse on details.

(IIRC, anyone flying AA J can use them, right?)

oneworld Class of Service access - Yes.

From memory Dali and Valaquez, the two main international ones have showers.
12 months ago, no wifi but you could plug into lan, or byo router!

For flights leaving the Schengen area:

For flights within the Schengen area (and you can probably use it if leaving the Schengen area too):

Flying AA J will indeed give you access (no guesting privileges).

I tried plugging my router in, but the staff keep pulling out, presumably because they thought it had been abandoned. I finally took a seat facing the router.

The Velazquez lounge:

fab drinks, NO wifi (only wired access), fabulous seating and GREAT food, including a fantastic salad with four or five varieties of mushrooms ...

I guess it's another one of those 'your mileage may vary' situations.

No it's probably an error on my part I used my IPAD without needing to insert any password ... I may possibly have used a service provider, can't remember food well I was looking for hot food and there there was nothing interesting, but I have to say the dinner on my MAD-GVA flight in business was the best I have had on any European flight I have taken on BA, AY, AF, TP, KL, LH, SWISS, AZ, SK, across the past three years

Sala Velsquez: this is in T4-Satellite and it really set up for people already cleared for departure on non-Schengen/International flights. Not sure you'd be able to access it on a Schengen-Schengen connection (probably) transiting entirely in T4.

Sala Dal: this is in T4 and would be the natural one for you to use for Schengen-Schengen connections.

Sala [Goya]
: there is one other one in T4, the name escapes me, but it is set up for use primarily by folks using the Puente Aereo air shuttle flights between Madrid and Barcelona. It is on a different level in the terminal than Sala Dal. Again whether or not you'd be able to access it even if you wanted to, I'm not sure since you wouldn't have a Puente Aereo boarding pass.

Don't despair, Sala Dal is overall pretty great with nice open-to-the-ceiling atmosphere, nice showers, tarmac views, good food during meal times, nice wine, etc.

Schengen lounge had great showers, no wifi but good desktop computers, a sleeping room where I took a nice three hour nap. Chairs were comfortable. Drinks were great, fruit and salad were good. But if you are waiting later in the day, the sandwiches and "entres" (I really struggle to apply that phrase) begin to look not too good. However the alternative is food in the terminal which was was not good at all. This is was in July.

I can help you! I've been in the Dali and Velasquez lounges.... Velasquez is the flagship and it's located on T4S. Showers are excelent! I have more pictures if you need of the shower per se. They are a bit tiny in space, but very private. Velasquez lounge is superb at night and when it's almost empty. Had a good shower experience, here are the pics. Amenities are by Melia.

Dali is more.. a good lounge but not the Flagship experience.
