Any Suggestions for Maximizing Europe Segments

I am on DONE04 ex-AMM that started AMM-JFK-MIA...AKL-HKG....etc

I will have 4 segments left when I depart Asia & would like to maximize before terminating in AMM.

I'm contemplating something like: SIN-LHR-DME-MAD-LHR-AMM
which would likely require an overnite in MAD.

Any other suggestions to maximize miles -- or interesting places to stop for a day or 2?

Potential dates? I would go LHR-MCT (or DXB/AUH etc., really anywhere in the Middle East is way more miles than DME but MCT is the maximum)-LHR-MAD-AMM. Since you didn't go AMM-LHR to begin, you can fly anywhere in the middle east and then back to LHR, then just go to MAD so you can get back to AMM. May be able to pick a place other than MAD, though I think MAD is the max miles you can get LHR-XXX-AMM in Europe. If you don't want to go to the ME, then DME is probably your best bet, but LHR-MCT-LHR-MAD-AMM is a few thousand extra miles over DME.

Only 2 segments between UK and the Middle East, Russia, and other select countries.
(h) A minimum of 3 and maximum of 16 segments, including surface segments between any 2

are limited as follows:

((*not more than 2 of which may be between the UK and ALBANIA, ALGERIA, BOSNIA & HERZEGOVINA, BULGARIA, CROATIA, CYPRUS, GREECE, ISRAEL, LIBYA, MALTA, MIDDLE EAST, MOROCCO, ROMANIA, RUSSIA, SERBIA, TUNISIA, TURKEY,
UKRAINE.
*not more than 2 of which may be between Russia west of the Urals and Russia east of the Urals)
whether part of the free continent allowance of 4 coupons, purchased as additional coupons, or a combination of both)

No, just between the UK and the Middle East, to wit:
*not more than 2 of which may be between the UK and ALBANIA, ALGERIA, BOSNIA & HERZEGOVINA, BULGARIA, CROATIA, CYPRUS, GREECE, ISRAEL, LIBYA, MALTA, MIDDLE EAST, MOROCCO, ROMANIA, RUSSIA, SERBIA, TUNISIA, TURKEY, UKRAINE
Yours: SIN-LHR-DME-MAD-LHR-AMM, 13,556 mi.

Alt. 1: SIN-LHR-MCT-LHR-MAD-AMM, 17,070 mi. This might need to be ticketed by a human, as the OWE tool seems to regard any landing in the middle east to comprise the end of a trip begun in the Middle East (which you can do under the rules - you don't have to end in AMM.)

Alt. 2: Or be a hero and give us a report on S7... HKG-FRA-OVB-PKC-OVB-DXB, 17,032 mi. Novosibirsk and Petropavlovsk/Kamchatskiy in late winter? Go for it!

A former colleague lives in Novosibirsk. A few years back he flew from Helsinki to Novosibirsk after New Year. It was -24C in Helsinki, -42C in Novosibirsk...

<Tee hee> I laughed when I read your post about "be a hero". Remind me to tell you about my turn-around HKG-DEL-HKG which started with a tray of champagne in my lap before departure. Subsequently it turned into a 2-1/2 day exodus including a stop somewhere in India at an airport closed under Martial Law, an overnight in Mumbai, etc.
Russia in Janurary indeed! I'm from Miami -- I put on a coat when it's < 70-degrees. Oman sounds better. Great suggestion & thanks for the clarification.

I made changes to my itinerary as suggested above. But it did cost me $494.40 ($125 change fee + 369.40 taxes).
