AA or JL for ORD-NRT in Y
All.
I know flying in Y in not preferred in Flyertalk.
But this is what I have to do this way since J is kind of expensive.
I am flying ORD-NRT-TPE in Sep 2011 in Y.
I am AA PLT. I noticed that AA is 1 inch better in pitch. And I know JL's service and food is better. What is everyone's thought?
Thanks

Flying Y is not preferred. But for many of us paying for J is even worse!
If you have't yet earned enough miles for an upgrade, I would vote for the seat with extra pitch. That is in principle mind you, never been on JL, but I would fly Y on AA anyday over LH or BA steerage.
