IB codeshare not confirmed on LAN itinerary, is that a problem?
Hey folks
I am flying BOG-LIM | LIM-MAD | MAD-LIM-BOG on LAN where MAD-LIM is a codeshare operated by Iberia.
I originally bought the tix in their offices and got a paper receipt with the reservation number on it. The itinerary was showing on LAN.com. The segment MAD-LIM is flight LA5101 a codeshare with IB
I then came home and added a stopover in LIM by telephone.
Immediately the new itinerary on LAN.com showed the 4 day stopover in LIM and I was told I would get a confirmation email with a new ticket number.
That confirmation email came about 48 hours later from checkmytrip.com
It has a reservation number (as per the original) an e-ticket number and a LAN Airlines confirmation number. No Iberia confirmation number.
Scrolling down the email, all my segments have seat numbers but the IB flight is not confirmed.
Is it normal for the systems not to tie up properly or should I be contacting IB or LA to make sure that I am actually flying on that segment?
