Single Continent One World Tickets - Information Request
Im looking for information for two single continent oneworld ticket scenarios
One is for a relative who is coming to the United States from outside the coutnry and is looking at the Visit North America product. There is a zone description but no pricing for each of the zones.
Second scenario. We are going to Australia in January 2012 on a all partner award. Can we use the Visit Australia New Zealand product in conjunction with an award ticket. Again zones on the oneworld website but no pricing information.
Im writing here, since I called the AAEXP desk and they were clueless on these products. They told me, a they were not web-based so they couldnt see what I was looking at, b, they had no information on buying a ticket outside the United States, c, the round the world desk didnt know the product, and d, wasnt there an 800 number listed on oneworld and e, maybe Quantas could help.
I thought AA was part of Oneworld, but most days I sincerely doubt it.

Others have reported in this forum being able to purchase Visit passes in conjunction with an award ticket issued on a Oneworld airline.

A million than you for this information. It is most helpful - I did a search on AA.com and didnt find anything on the site.. Im not sure what I was missing. '
'
What is the speedbirdclub website all about - looks like interesting information...
This will be for 2012 travel so when do you think updated information will be available?? and do you think a good travel agent can work with the airlines to get this ticketed - Im still really surprised, Im not sure why at how unhelpful AAEXp was on this!!

I don't know how often the rtw desk agents would get questions about the Visit Passes. They could look them up in Sabre but probably would have needed more info such as that provided in the links. Overall, I don't how good of a deal the Visit Passes are as opposed to just buying standalone tickets, whether one ways, open jaws, or rts, especially as AA may not fly everywhere you want to go. You should price out flights to the cities you want to visit and see if it is worth it to you.

I was planning to do a comparison of the visit passes and straight tickets. We are just in the initial planning stages and looking at all options. Again thanks
Is there some equivalent of speed bird for aa?
