Retroactively register miles?

Hi,

I am a star alliance member and I recently flew CPH-->MAD MAD-->SCL and return with Spanair for the first leg and Iberia for the second. When I bought the trip I registered my Eurobonus card number and got points for the first leg, however I was disappointed to learn that Spanair isn't part of star alliance. Does anyone know a program where it is possible to register these miles after joining the program? I prefer AAdvantage, but I can't seem to register the miles because I joined after my flight. Thank you in advance.

Spanair is part of Star Alliance. I guess you must mean Iberia? Iberia appears to allow credit for flights taken up to one month prior to joining the program:
All flights likely to generate points that the Customer has taken one (1) month before the date on the application to join the Programme will be recorded in the Customer's account. When referring to points generated on Iberia Group* flights, these applications will be processed exclusively through www.iberia.com. For other applications which correspond to flights other than Iberia Group flights taken one (1) month before joining, the Customer will need to send the Iberia Plus Services Centre a copy of the air transport ticket or e-ticket itinerary receipt and the original boarding card.
* The Iberia Group comprises Iberia and Iberia Regional/Air Nostrum flights. Code share flights not operated by the Iberia Group are not included.
Applications for points to be awarded will not be considered for services taken out with Participating Companies from other sectors made one (1) month before the Customer is registered on the Iberia Plus Programme.
BA allows credit for flights taken up to three months prior to commencement of membership (it is not clear whether this applies to partner flights or just BA flights):
12.9. Mileage and Tier Points which are not tracked automatically at the time of travel may be credited later at British Airways' discretion. Members may claim Mileage and Tier Points after completion of their travel either online at ba.com or if required by submitting the retained segment of the boarding pass and passenger receipts provided that the Member was enrolled in the Executive Club at the time of travel and the claim is made, within 6 months of the date of travel or the relevant transaction. A new Member may claim Mileage and Tier Points for eligible British Airways flights taken up to 3 months prior to the commencement of their Membership.
Edited to add: After more checking BA does not allow credit for partner flights taken premembership.
From ba.com:
Q Can I claim BA Miles and Tier Points for any flights on which I travelled prior to my enrolment in the British Airways Executive Club?

A BA Miles and Tier Points may be claimed for British Airways flights flown no more than three months prior to enrolment. New Members cannot claim for ground partner transactions made prior to enrolment. No credit will be give for air partner flights flown prior to your enrolment.
