OneWorld Award Bookings Online
Hi all,
I'm a StarAlliance member through and through and have come to love the ANA booking tool that allows users to search for Star Alliance partner award availability online. I'm trying to help my family book a trip using AA miles. Is there any online tool for OneWorld that allows users to see award availability?
The itinerary is basic. First class LAX > DME > LAX.
There is another small issue. Most flights for this itinerary route through LHR on AA or BA. The connection through LHR is generating some insanely high taxes. It makes no sense to me to use 100,000 miles and still have to pay nearly $1,000 for fees/taxes.
The alternative routing im considering is LAX > MAD > DME using Iberia/S7.
Im open to anything. Please help!
Gail

QF gives availability on QF/BA/CX but nothing with full availability like ANA
(OT would be interesting how many phantom members ANA has just for this function)

Depending on how much time/miles you want to spend on the journey, another routing from LAX - DME would be on CX via HKG. You could do it much faster via LHR, but if you're allergic to BA's high fuel fines and haven't enjoyed CX's fine TPAC service, it might be worth investigating. (The HKG - DME only runs 3x a week, with A343 equipment with a good business class cabin up front.)
