Routing to Quito (UIO)?

Hi, I usually hang out on the BA board, but this question is more relevant here, I think. As usual, I did a search, but the fantastic FT search engine wasn't much help.

I am planning a Done4 and will route europe, Asia, Australia, South Am, Europe or VV. During my South American bits, I will visit SCL, EZE & GRU, (and some other domestics in Brazil, not on the DONE4), but may need to also visit UIO.

My question is what is the best (simplest, least cost) way of adding UIO into this itinerary. I've looked at the LAN site and can only see rather "nasty" overnight itineraries of up to 12 hours with 2 or 3 changes on short haul planes like 319s, 320s (and 763s). I was really hoping for a decent routing with a flat bed or similar.

Of course, I could potentially add this to the end of S.Am and go SCL-EZE-GRU-UIO and then back to the UK via Mex or similar (OW tool suggests via Miami or JFK, but that would add USA to my itin making a DONE5 and adding cost.

I'm sure some of the xONEx experts out there can make much better suggestions for me, so thanks in advance

There are daily LAN services with their superlative full flat seats from Quito to Europe (MAD).

According to the Oneworld timetable, there's daily service EZE-UIO and v.v. on XL (Lan Ecuador) - two stops but a through flight number, hence one xONEx segment (shown as LA 1446/1447.) Then IB flies UIO-MAD nonstop, so an itinerary e.g. (AKL/SYD)-SCL-GRU-EZE-UIO-MAD-LHR would be kosher.

Thanks folks.
Not sure why the OW tool didn't show me the UIO-MAD sectors. I'm actually routing to LHR, but UIO-MAD-LHR is much more sensible than UIO-JFK-LHR, unless, of course, you're an airline alliance tool trying to maximise revenue

Thanks for the help, LAN J direct to MAD is much better than via MIA/JFK on AA IMO.
