I think nobody here has any insider information. And of course we all hope that Mexicana will be its former self again.

Legally Mexicana still exist.
But when the holding partners announce that they could do no more to rescue the bankrupcy, then it will be the time for Mexicana officlally be in the coffin. Then ow will remove the logo. Before that, while the restructure is still in operation, there is still hope.

Even if MX were to be revived, would the revived carrier still remain part of OW? I guess it depends on whether the same corporation is revived, or a new one with the old name. I believe that RG (Varig) was booted for *A before its ultimate demise, but AZ (Alitalia) was never formally booted from ST even though it resumed operations as a completely separate corporation. I don't know how directly applicable either situation is.
One of course would hope that the "new" MX will remain part of OW, but I don't know that this is a given.
