S7 become oneworld member 15NOV10

Just to let everyone know:

S7 will become full member on 15th November and oneworld.com is down for maintainence in order to put the new information online.

But at this moment some airlines like CX, QF...still have no earnings and redemption level on S7 available yet. I believe AA and BA will act very fast from tomorrow. But more waiting is expected with CX and QF on the S7 joining.

Please do post anything about S7 joinging in this thread so that we can keep track.

Thanks everyone! Have a nice week ahead.

The S7 logo is now on the Oneworld banner screen (still no content at the moment - "server upgrade") - so it's starting.

S7's site is now up, but details on it's programme are pretty thin. Overall the website is better than before, but it still has a long way to go.

I suspect if I knew Russian, there may be more information I could garner.

60K for Emerald on the surface however seems very achievable.

Shame that you can't redeem on S7 using AA miles.

https://www.aa.com/i18n/AAdvantage/p...irlines/s7.jsp

At this time, only able to redeem miles using the oneworld multi-carrier award.
QANTAS Frequent Flyer earning for S7 is:

LMNOQRSTV 25% of flown miles
BHKY 100% of flown miles
CJ 125% of flown miles

That can't be right, this must be a mistake. Business class tickets not earning miles doesn't make sense.

Also, OW Explorer rules have been updated and the OW map as well. S7 added some new OW destinations outside Russia as well. From Hanover, Germany to Sanya, China.
