Lufthansa/Swiss vs BA?

Hi - there is a promo goin on right now : transfer amex mem reward points to BA and get a 30% bonus.

I have about 250,000 mem reward points which I guess will give me enough miles to travel business/first from ORD to New Delhi (which is where I want to go with my wife).

I also have enough miles in star alliance to get business/first in Lufthansa/Swiss. (120,000 miles - business per ticket and 160,000 for first per ticket)

Since I have never travelled British business/first - can anyone tell me how that experience is travelling from ORD - Heathrow - Delhi (cabin, aircraft, service, lounges, etc)

Also if anyone has experience both with Lufthansa/Swiss and BA - a comparson would really help..

Thanks,

There are a number of people on the BA forum that have very strong (and surprisingly objective) opinions on the relative merits of BA vs. LH/LX. You might ask a moderator to move your thread there.

Agreed, and you should also consider calculating the inevitably huge surcharges that BA will charge for the award.

Thanks for the realization - did not know BA's surcharges maybe higher than other airlines - worth checking..
