I guess that's where the plane to run the LAX service is coming from!

IAD is Star Alliance country...

THe past 2 years the IAD-MAD has been summer seasonal flight. I would not assume that it is a permanent cancellation.

According to the Airline Route blog, it doesn't appear to restart in Summer 2011.

I bought a ticket for this flight back in March for a November trip to Istanbul. My reservation was canceled in July because the route would be canceled in October. That experience (combined with their refusal to rebook me on another flight and sluggishness in providing a refund) ensures that I will not fly Iberia again.

On another note, it appears United will start running IAD-MAD service. Not great for us OW fans though.

I saw this one coming ever since they canceled my MAD-IAD flight back in June and made the flight operations sporadic. It was OK that they canceled this flight because instead of flying FCO-MAD-IAD-DFW on IB/AA, I got FCO-DFW on AA.

I flew that route with my family in Business back in June. These were paid business tickets. It was the worst service I have ever ex[perienced both ways! I will never fly IB again.

I suppose people will just have to fly EI instead.
