Circle Pacific ex AKL

I am looking at buying a Circle Pacific fare ex AKL.

The route will be AKL-MEL-EZE-GIG-SCL-JFK-SIN-MEL-AKL.

If I purchase the ticket ex AKL, does anyone know if I am able to fly the QF service AKL-MEL (stop) -SYD - EZE - etc, or would I be required to fly the LAN service ACK - SCL - EZE (ie flying in a westerly direction) from AKL?

The itinerary is >32000 miles. You have a 29000 mile limit. Thats even before checking if the routing is acceptable with the AKL-MEL -SYD-EZE backtracking.

To answer your specific question:
Yes you are permitted to fly AKL-MEL-SYD-EZE...

The Circle Pacific fare is really quite restrictive
The One World Explorer ticket is much more flexible and if you are flying economy then the ex-Auckland 4 or even 5 continent explorer ticket is cheaper than the 29,000mile Circle Pacific ticket (and the 6 continent ticket is only NZD200 more)

This 5-continent itinerary will give you the stops you want
I suggest you read the fare rules on the One World web site and play around with itineraries to work up one that suits you

OG and PandaPerth thank you for your insight about the Circle Pacific product.

The attraction of the Circle Pacific was the very attractive price in F and J from some points ex Asia (combined with the very strong Australian dollar).

But you are right it is a restrictive fare. The 29,000 kilometreage is actually quite low when you combine South America, North America and the two trans-Pacific flights.

So I will end up with the Oneworld Explorer ticket. I agree is a very flexible fare and worth the additional cost.
