S7 Priority Platinum and Gold cardholders will have oneworld Emerald and Sapphire status respectively, gaining them access to more than 500 airport lounges worldwide offered by the alliance's airlines. S7 Priority Silver cardholders will have oneworld Ruby status.

- cessation of activities by MX
- financial difficulties of JL shrinking their route network
- failure to recruit MU and therefore less chance of a mainland China partner
- LA/TAM merger putting South American dominance into question

Finally, a confirmed date. I was really starting to think if S7 was going to jump ship to *A because there were rumours that LH was in talks with them about that.
Hopefully, AA will consider to relaunch flights to DME so to compete better against SU for US-Domestic Russia flights. With CX's new flights to DME, it's becoming a significant OW hub. Any chance of AY switching to DME?

Given the choice between LAX-JFK-DME on AA or LAX-HKG-DME on CX I know which I'd take!

Oh sure, but CX accrual on AA is lowsy and their fares at accrual levels are through the roof. I agree service levels are different worlds, but apparently AA members can't have their CX cake and eat it too (or something like that)!
