Oneworld sapphire baggage entitlement

i am travelling economy on BA LHR - DUS and was wondering whether I am entitled to an extra checked baggage allowance being CX Gold (oneworld sapphire)?

Thanks!

Additional baggage allowance is not a OneWorld entitlement. Your CX status does not entitle you to any additional baggage allowance on a BA flight.

I appear to have extra baggage on BA...
QFF Gold on a DONE3 (Was Silver when I booked). The ticket allows me 2 pieces. The 2 BA sectors are now showing an allowance of 3.
Not sure if that's because I'm Sapphire or because I'm in Club World.

Hi,

Yes it is correct that it is not a Oneworld entitlement. However, it really depends on the check-in agent. I had a few times as an AAdvantage Emerald waived the rule when flying in Economy with CX. However the agent always gives me a warning that this is just an exception. The same holds for BA.

The same applies also to getting a priority tag.

Himeno: Yours is based on flying in ClubWorld rather than your status.

Cheers!

3 pieces is the standard BA allowance for Club World cabin. Nothing to do with your status.

However, when I booked the ticket, and until I reached QFF Gold 1/3 of the way into the trip, the system was showing a limit of 2 bags on the BA sectors...

If it sais 2 before, then it has just fixed from being incorrect. It is nothing to do with status ; BA allowance for club world is 3 pieces as mentioned
