1st Class

Anybody know of any 1st class flights, preferably non-stop, from Sydney to Tokyo?

I don't believe that there are any non stop flights from Sydney to Tokyo.

I think both JL and QF fly this route daily, with 777 and 744 respectively.
However, neither have F.

Happy Travels.

Only option would be a stopover.

I believe QF still fly F from HKG-SYD, and you might be able to find one of the JL/CX flights from NRT-HKG that still has F class, but it's dependant on the aircraft which switches quite frequently.

Otherwise, you're stuck doing NRT-SIN/BKK and grabbing the BA flight to SYD from there.

If OW is not essential and money is no object, SQ flies the A380 from SYD-SIN although the later 77W is a more convenient connection to a A380 SIN-NRT.
The return is a 380-380 connection.

Neither JL nor CX offers first class between Hong Kong and Tokyo.

Not true:

JL732 HKG-NRT 07/11/10 1500 - 1820 744 F2 A2
CX500 HKG - NRT 07/11/10 1510 - 1825 744 F0 A0

There are a few flights of the 744 and I think that JL also offers the Kaiseki (sp?) meal service on thos flights.

The flights are few and far between, though JL732 seems to have the standard F availability, with JL731 having the return F class availability

Fair enough. I am flying it this fall and it is all two-class by then.

Now I really stand corrected, the CX flight to HND and back in early November is now showing F class.

I'll have to call and change my booking.

I've been burnt with CX on again and off again F cabins on Regional routes. Its a variable and changing commodity.

Me too. And on an RTW, they couldn't care less when they downgrade the passenger due to switching the aircraft to a two-class-of-service aircraft.
