QF status on BA flight using AA miles - possible?

Hello,

I am making an AA miles redemption booking in F using BA metal, however there seems to be no way to show my QF WP status. Clearly the booking shows my AA advantage number.

I wouldn't normally care, but with the ash and strikes potential on BA, I am keen to register my OW Emerald status somewhere in the BA booking just in case it helps!!

Any ideas how best (or even if) I can do this?

Thanks,

Marcus.

Have you called BA and asked them to put it in? Usually systems have the functionality to record different FFN for earning and status purposes.

When checking in, hand over your QF card and ask for the number to be entered.
Check the boarding pass and ask for it to be reprinted if it doesn't show your QFF number.

Used to do it all the time previously when juggling points/ status across airlines.

Worked 95% of the time , but occasionally miles would post to wrong account.
Seeing that this is a points flight it shouldn't be an issue for you.

If travelling in 1st class , I wouldn't be too concerned about status in a booking tbh

For what the OP is desiring, having the Emerald status registered with the booking could be of most benefit if done before check-in may/may not occur.

I repeat DownUnderFlyer's suggestion that the OP call BA and have their Emerald FF inserted - It should be quite straight forward.

Thanks for your responses.

It was indeed as easy as calling BA and adding a second QF FF number.

Cheers,

Marcus.

Glad it worked. And it also looks as if you might not need it at all which would be good news as well.
