Getting to Malta using oneworld?

I called AA and they said that BA no longer goes there?

Any other way or partner airline that goes there?

Thanks

No. But IB will have MAD-MAL in summer time only and not every day.

I hope BA consider to resume the service.

Finnair may still fly to Malta, I believe, although it may be a summer-only flight

Wrong code! It's MLA for Malta, and, it does seem to lack One World connections on the last leg...

The oneworld interactive map can be useful in these instances.

(It currently shows a MAD-MAL routing.)

The thread is about oneworld, not American Airlines, so it will be shipped to our helpful colleagues in that Forum for further discussion. Thanks! / JDiver, AA Mod

You could use your miles to go to Rome. And then pick up a flight on Air Malta (reasonably priced).

Searched in the latest oneworld PDF timetable and could not find any destination in Malta.

AY flies HEL-MLA from May every Friday with a 757 (AY2477/AY2478). Not so nice timing on the return flight however.

I believe in that it is the Leisure Flight which do not give you any mileage if you are any programme outside AY nor be able to redeem. But I may be wrong.

BA please fly back to Malta!!!!

You donlt want to go anywhere near one of those AY 757 flights. All Economy and with sub 30 inch seat pitch.

That would be Madrid (MAD) to Malabo (MAL) in Equatorial Guinea.

I think that the AY flights may be all pre-sold to a holiday company, but worth a look.

From Italy it's quite a short flight. Easyjet have cheap fares from Malpensa MXP and possibly Rome. Not great, but worth considering.

For this summer:

Code:
1IB/YW 8134 MADMLA 0900 1145 CR9 B 0 145 23JUL - 03SEP
2IB/VY 5441 MADMLA 2255 0125‡1 320 G 0 246 24JUN - 30OCT

and

1IB/VY 5442 MLAMAD 0215 0500 320 G 0 357 25JUN - 29OCT
2IB/YW 8135 MLAMAD 1220 1515 CR9 L 0 145 23JUL - 03SEP
IB/YW are OPERATED BY AIR NOSTRUM (a oneworld affiliate for fare purposes) and IB/VY are OPERATED BY VUELING AIRLINES SA (which I don't believe is a oneworld affiliate).

Data is from Sabre
