OW UPGRADE Y to J
Have no been able to find this answer I am a EPLT on AA looking to upgrade a a LAN flight from MAD-LIM using AA Miles...

Each frequent flyer program has its own rules regarding upgrades etc. There is no One WOrld set of rules for this.
So my advice is check out the AAdvantage forum for answer to your question
(I suspect the answer will be "No can do", because most programs only offer upgrades on their own metal. YMMV of course.)

To upgrade a LAN flight you need LAN kilometers.
