A codeshare question
A OWE question
I know that if I fly DFW-NRT on AA I can get an AA codeshare flight to either HKG or SIN or BKK.
But can I ticket USA(AA)NRT-(AA)-HKG-(AA)-SIN - with a stop in HKG?
Considering a bit of a wander.... and the point to point prices at the end of August are a bit pricey..... compared with a start in NZ

My memory on this is a little vague but I'm almost certain the answer is no and the AA flight numbers can only be booked with continuing onward travel without a stopover in either NRT or HKG.
I took a flight the other way from HKG-xNRT-DFW on a LONE4 and had a very long and painful process just getting the AA agent to be able to book the AA flight number on the CX metal, Expertflyer was showing it and the agent could see the flight but not book it for some reason. They were eventually able to do it but not without a lot of messing around and as stated above I'm almost certain the codeshares can only be used on through travel not stopovers.
Others may have a different experience?

online connecting traffic......
I will play in-experienced and ask the stupid question - that if the initial scenario is WITHOUT a HKG stopver - ie the next flight (with a code share)
And the QF NRT-PER flight is too long and still doesn't code share.
This may become more important as we learn more about the fall out from JAL's decisions.
It would be moot with AA flying ORD/DFW-HKG......
