Rtw booking tool with ay
Has anyone recently purchased a ticket using the OW online tool from ARN using AY as the ticketing carrier. If I use BA as the first segment from ARN-LHR it gives me BA as the ticketing carrier and that I must call them . If I use AY on the first segment it still shows the same www.wftc2---- site but looks like it will allow me to purchase it online. I presume that AY is the ticketing carrier.
I purchased 2 tickets back in April on the OW site with AA as I use the codeshare and then connected to AA at LHR . This time I want a two month stopover in LHR and may change my complete itenerary later . Just want to get one at the sale price before it expires . I presume that if I fly the first international segment ( ARN-LHR ) I can do this for the $125 change fee and not subject to any increase in base price ?
Any feedback would be appreciated

Why wouldn't you ticket via AA?
Also here is some information on the 10% discount and what happens if things change:

I hope you also noted that by selecting the AY codeshare on the ARN-LHR flight the taxes/fees were significantly less.
I did this just last week and it was ticketed by AY in Finland and charged to my CC in SEK. All done within a couple of days of booking the ticket.

Do you know whether ticketing via AY comes close to AA in terms of taxes and fees?

I also think having AY as the ticketing carrier instead of BA comes close to AA in terms of taxes and fees. I purchased a DONE4 last week and by choosing the AY codeshare on the ARN-LHR flight, i saved SEK 5049, almost EURO 500.
All booked via OW online booking tool.
I am thinking of changing my itinerary later, after having used the first ARN-LHR flight and i suppose i need to contact the AY call centre for that?? Does anybody have experience with them? Knowledgeable agents? Please share your experiences. Thanks

For me, booking with AY is a plus in that I have generally found them great to deal with for changes &c. For a simple itinerary changes I have simply phoned that in and they have sent through the revalidated ticket within a few hours. A re-route took a little longer - couple of days - but was processed efficiently and knowledgeably. In both cases not as instant as, say, QF but if I never have to deal with QF again I would be a very happy person.
