Queensland is almost as big as Mexico. Can you narrow it down a bit. 
Also as Mwenenzi said, it would be helpful to know the time of year, and what type of activities you are interested in (hiking, swimming, cities, etc).

Queensland is large. Larger than many Eu countries.

Next trip is in October for 3 weeks.
Never gone further than Noosa Heads, Chinchilla, Harvey Bay, Byron Bay. Ages ago I even worked on/for Tangalooma Island.
Would be nice to find Fossils, Emeralds and maybe even Opals and Gold.

Qld is larger than any EU country, actually - if you don't count Greenland's area as part of Denmark.
I see there's a nice new airport at Toowoomba, with direct flights to Sydney & Melbourne:

And it’s not even close to Toowoomba...
