Perth airport hotels
hey guys!
Im going to be traveling to Perth at the start of February next year doing a RTW ticket. I’m flying in from Singapore with Qantas. I land in Perth at 00.30 and since that is very late/ very early for arrival is there a transit hotel within the airport to crash until a decent time for friends to pick me up? Or are there any hotels nearby to use?
Thanks for for any advise!

I have been through PER several times, and ventured into the city, so I am fairly familiar with the area. I am in a similar situation as the OP for the first time, with a roughly midnight arrival in December and a 9am flight the next morning.
Unfortunately there are no hotels at the airport. And I can't find any with airport shuttles either. Most of the terminals aren't even open 24 hours, only Terminal 1 is.
So it seems the only options are to taxi/Uber to a nearby hotel, or sleep on a bench in Terminal 1. There are quite a few hotels west of the airport.
If anyone has better advice, I'd love to hear it!

There aren't too many options ... Crown casino is open 24 hours most days (closed a couple of days a year such as Anzac day and Good Friday, not sure about Christmas). Otherwise hard to find places open in Perth ime.

Hey guys
just an update I have decided to stay at either the Hotel Sanno marracoonda which looks ok or the airport apartments by Aurum.
Im going to email both and see what the quote would be.

Paging Biggles52 or anyone else who might know anything.....
I've had a flight change which means I am now due to arrive in Perth at 2350 from SIN (originating UK). I am hoping the immigration/customs experience won't take too long but am concerned regular taxis will be in short supply by the time I emerge from the terminal. I have never got to grips with Uber and I don't think this is the time for me to start.
I would like to just get a regular taxi to a hotel in the centre of Perth where I will then stay for a few days. Does that seem realistic for that time of day/night?
The other option I'm considering, and this is where Biggles52 comes in, is to stay at Sanno Marracoonda. The hotel website suggests there is a 24 hours shuttle service for which a person has to ring from the airport. Can't work out if there is a charge for it but that isn't critical. I wondered what you did?
Very grateful for any comments/suggestions.
Thanks.

You should not have a problem finding a taxi from the airport at that time. I'd bet you can find one straight away. Worst case is that you have a bit of a wait. You definitely won't find yourself stranded.

Thanks CPMaverick. I also asked on TripAdvisor - hope that isn't a breach of etiquette - between your reassurance and TA comments I have booked the Doubletree in Northbridge. There were a couple of other (less expensive) places I liked the look of but arriving in the wee, small hours sounded a bit complicated.

I arrived close to 2300 on a CX flight from HK and it was a busy place, on a Monday night. I quickly caught an Uber into the CBD, but lots of cabs there as well.
Around the corner from the Doubletree in Northridge on Williams St is a 24 hour Pho shop if you get hungry after midnight called U&I Cafe. I had a couple of 2 AM dinners there.

Aloft is closer to the airport than the downtown hotels and open 24/7. Very nice. Easy enough to Uber or taxi.
DT Northbridge in the city had a sale on previously. It is a 'noisy' street to arrive to in the latter hours of the evening. Also difficult for Uber to find a drop off spot. Otherwise it's a good location. Lots of different places to eat. There's a shortcut through a carpark to Yagan square. And the DT has an exec lounge. Perth isn't as expensive as the east coast and there are quite a number of hotels there from various chains. I don't remember having any noise issues here.
Don't stay at Ibis. I found that noisy with some nightclub close by.
