AKL 12 hr connection
Arriving on QR from Doha at 04:00, departing on TN at 18:00. Can we:
- Go to transit area, use the Emperor lounge for shower, breakfast and to store hand luggage. (Priority Pass holders)
- Proceed to arrivals for a visit to the city.
- Return to lounge later in evening?
Thanks

Located after security in the international terminal, the lounge is available to any passenger travelling on an international flight -- but that rules out spending time in the international terminall after a connection and then heading over to the domestic side of the airport
Emperor lounge is no 82 airside departures ITBFF pdf

IIRC Emperor Lounge has a strict 3 hour time limit on visits. You won't be able to get the Air Tahiti Nui boarding pass in transit until the gate is staffed (about 60 minutes before departure). So best not to use transit security on arrival but instead clear immigration and customs. If your bags are not through checked then you can store bags (for a fee) at i-Site.
Shower on arrival is tricky - perhaps you can buy a dayroom at an airport hotel (e.g. Novotel is just a few steps from the international terminal)?
