If looking at the South Pacific Islands (Vanuatu, New Caledonia, Fiji etc) it takes a minimum of 2 days at sea just to get from Sydney out there (so 4 days at sea there/back) which only leaves you a few port days, unless you pick a longer cruise.
If looking at heading up the coast towards Queensland and Great Barrier Reef, you're again looking at the longer cruise (10 days).
