First Time in WBC
Hello - I have booked an award tkt in WBC AMS/MSP in March. I have never flown business class with an American airline before and was wondering how to maximise the expeirence, lounges, seats etc. I have checked the sticky on A330 seating and 1A/1B seem to be the most popular. I am travelling solo if that makes any difference. I have no status with any airline so any tips on snagging seats greatly appreciated.
Thanks in Advance.^

Should be nice. The seats are nice, a bit firm but still much better than coach and the older recliner chairs that CO and DL had. Definately take advantage of the AMS new lounge, #52 I believe, that KLM operates. It's great. The MSP lounge is fine, but nothing particularly special.
Haven't been on Biz Elite since DL has taken over so not sure how the food and other service items are but enjoy!

The MSP lounge on the C concourse is nicer and newer than the one on the F/G concourse.

Per DL's website, business class pax now are relegated to the Menzie's lounge in AMS. Kind of a bummer and not sure how well that is controlled. Same for Syteam Elite +. Skyclub members are apparently the only DL passengers allowed into lounge #52.

And when you enter "business elite" as the method of travel, it does not list #52 as accessible. Those are the rules, and were the rules when I checked about 2 months ago when I booked a business elite ticket for 2 friends and me for travel next year.
But glad that in practice it works.

I think I am blind in one eye and can't see out of the other - I just looked again and all KLM lounges and Menzie lounges are included for Delta Business Elite. I must have just totally missed it. Sorry. But that is good news.

While these can vary and be a bit different (e.g. Japanese meal to Japan), it does give an idea. These are for both outbound (from CONUS) and inbound (to CONUS)

I am always pretty excited by the post prandial cheeses and Port
That said, some other things are great. The AVOD system is nice, DL meals are a little better (I actually enjoyed the steak both over and back on the A330 from MSP-LHR a couple of weeks ago.), the comforter (duvet) they give you is nice and I put it on the seat as extra cushion. Finally, though I used to extol row 1, any seat, I have come to enjoy seats 3C and 4C, they are farther from the light from the galley when you get ready to sleep, their distrance from a lav is sufficient so as to not be bothered, and they are on the side from which you will deplane.

The NW & DL websites have said the Menzie's lounge for quite a while and when I was in AMS last month, I asked about it at the KLM Crown Lounge and they know NOTHING about it, so it's business as usual at the KLM lounges until somebody reports otherwise. There's a thread about it somewhere. I think it's just an error.
