Why do I get this error message?
I'm trying to book award travel for ATL-SLC in August. I am consistently getting this message "We're sorry, there was a problem processing this search request. (Message 106)"
What does this mean? Is there a way to get around it?
I have not yet been able to link my Skymiles/Worldperks account (problem with the way my name is listed on each account), so I can't get the ticket on the Delta site.
Thank you,
Amanda

Welcome to FT.
It means the NW website has been "Deltafied." I am getting lots of those error messages now too.
Yes, you can enter your NW number later. But if you want to book award travel on delta.com, you need to use Delta availability and Delta miles.
No, only nwa.com. And if you use delta.com for using NW miles, you must first link your DL and NW accounts, then transfer the miles from NW to DL.
Note that it often requires more miles on delta.com than on nwa.com. Also more fees on delta.com, depending on what you are booking.
I had to call NW to book an award ticket last week - even nwa.com could not find availability a simple MSP-AMS-ZRH business class ticket, even though all on NW/KL metal, perksaver. Pretty pathetic.

Thanks
Thank you for all the input.
It looks like I'll have to keep trying the NW site until my accounts are linked.

I know it should be easy (I linked my husband's accounts), but Delta has my name written wrong. They have it listed with my middle name as if it is part of my last name. And Northwest just has my first and last names. So when I have tried to link them, the system thinks it is two different people. I've sent in the documentation to Delta (over a month ago and again this week) to change my name on the delta account and I've called Delta CS, but no luck so far. So I can't link my accounts yet.

If nobody has addressed 'error 106' for you yet, I can add that I see it all the time. For my searches it's pretty frequent when a Delta segment would logically be involved - as it would be for your travel DL hub-ATL to DL hub-SLC. (But I sometimes get it with NW segments too.) You can try phoning web support but be prepared to pay the phone award ticketing fee if they can't resolve this so you can book online.

I missed the 'award' part.
