Code N?

So I recently flew some inter-island flights on Hawaiian Airlines. They didn't know what to do with my WP# so I mailed in my Boarding Passes to NW later. The flights now show up in my WP account, but have been credited zero miles because of something called "Code N" ... seems pretty lame to me, did something change with NW and Hawaiian recently that's not shown on the website yet? (The fare class was L/L)

The very vague explantion on their website:

"N - Activity does not qualify for credit."

I do not see fare L on the list of quailfying fares. That might be why.

Looks like L class on Hawaiian doesn't earn mileage.
