tell Delta

Dear former Northwest Visa card folks.

If you, like me, have been forced to get the "great" Delta American Express card, please join me in telling Delta and Northwest that this care really sucks.

Since I started trying to use it and get all the promised miles, I have been refused by 7 merchants. What crap.
Let's all tell Delta that we want a Delta Visa card.
Thanks,
Doug

Forced?

I saw them enrolling people in the MSP airport last week but no one I saw was "forced." Lots of other card options out there. For a non-AX card, the Premier Pass is still a pretty decent deal, though not nearly as good as it was.

The best ways to tell Delta it sucks are (1) park it and (2) cancel it. When the affinity fees quit piling up in Delta's coffers, they'll notice.

Which probably won't happen any time soon ....

What do you mean you were refused? Your card was declined, or you found SEVEN places that don't take Amex?

I assume you mean 'sense.' Of course that is your opinion. I have the AmEx platinum (normal one, not DL) and gain access to many lounges/clubs, and get a 15-30% bonus when transferring miles to DL and (in the past) CO. The annual fee is less than an annual membership in the lounges I use.

There is no card that is the "only" or "right" one for everyone.

I've been very vocal of the changeover, I would recommend everyone on here with an opinion express your displeasure via nwa.com ttu, delta's web complaint system, and snail mail complaints to Richard Anderson, Jeff Robertson, and Beth Reed.

If everyone on this forum sent in complaints, and told their other fellow members who might not follow the forums to, maybe we'd see some actual response to our needs.

If you don't send in complaints, they'll never know. If they get hundreds, maybe they'll wake up and smell the coffee.

He did, in at least one of the TWO OTHER THREADS he's started on this subject.

But it's nice to see you're there to stand up for him; for if he has something bad to say about DL, you absolutely have to chime in.
