YCA upgrade
New to NWA and to FT.
Has anyone had any experience upgrading gov't fare (YCA)? Itin is IAD-MSP-ANC. NWA upgrade chart would lead me to believe 5000 miles for Y/B, but online and phone rep suggest 15000 miles. I know gov't Y is discounted, but it is still a fully refundable fare.
fwiw, UA allows gov't Y to be upgraded at same mileage level as Y/B.

YCA is not considered a "full-fare" so it is not the cheaper amount to upgrade. It requires the higher number of miles....trust me, I have tried this a number of times! But, it does earn you 150% EQM (until Delta takes that away.)
