trying to book two perk saver seats on yvr-ams (operated by klm) non stop flight next spring (thought I would get a jump on it). Things are already tight and may have to route through Portland. Will more seats generally open up as we approach the date or should I take what I can get?
Thanks in advance

What class of travel? BC is pretty limited on these flights. If you are totally flexible, you can chance getting a seat close to the date of departure (<1 wk) when KL releases them. Been able to UG this way (same award inventory - D). Y can run pretty close to full. Seem to be a lot of folk that rather not connect through the U.S. (though the fares are often cheaper).

Thanks Cockroach
Economy - trying to book through NWA.com
I don't mind flying US its just that direct is better
. I was hoping that the lack of availability was mostly because flights were too far in the future and that klm/nwa might release seats at some magical point in time, say six months prior.
