Is TTU broken?

Got this when I sent in a note today about a terrible IND-LGA flight:

"Talk to Us submissions are temporarily unavailable.
However, your request has been received and sent through email."

I wonder how TTU is different from email and how much longer it will take to get back to me?

Same thing at 7:00am this morning. The e-mail did get a response just not as fast as TTU.

No SLA (Service Level Agreement) Monitoring

Having helped Fortune 150 companies manage these kinds of correspondence before, I will guess that the internal software package that manages the inbound TTU correspondence has some sort of built in SLA (Service Level Agreement) monitoring which auto-esecalates TTU messages based on the scope, catetory and type of issue up the management chain to insure a response within a prescribed timeframe. With e-mail, you lose this monitoring - but it is probably a wash since the e-mail will stand out and demand a response by the very nature it is outside a normal TTU inbound handling queue.

I hope this makes sense...

You need to check the box that says, "I would like a response". Sometimes, it's easy to miss.

I sent a TTU last week, and got a response the first of this week.

Sent a positive TTU and received no reply. Sent a negative TTU and received a TELEPHONE call within less than 45 min. and 15,000 miles for both of us. Thank you NW!

On some categories of TTUs, there is no checkbox for a requested reply.

Then I would have picked a category that does have a checkbox.

I've done this a few times, out of acceptance... submit and wait, submit again using a reply-required form. Works every time.

I've done the same thing when I wanted a reply, I just wanted to point that out so people who weren't finding the checkbox would know why.

FWIW, I still got a reply (actually, my GF, a non-elite did) in two days. Guess the message still got across...
