Yet Another Upgrade Question...

I have a couple of flights in WBC coming up in May -- An saver award ticket for She Who Must Be Obeyed and a B fare + 60K miles for me, flying LAX-DTW-FRA (and back). Obviously they are separate PNRs

We are confirmed in WBC on the TATL legs which is good but we are in coach on the legs between LAX and DTW. Now her rez shows her waitlisted for F on the flights (which is good as She has no status -- with NW ) but nothing like that for me (PE "waitlist" benefit is only for WBC, not domestic, I was told).

Part of me says "I paid (in miles) for F, so I want it" but the rational part of me says "If I lived in DTW I would have paid the same (in miles) and only got the WBC part"

The flights are currently P9 F6 and P9 F9

I am curious how this will be handled if we get down to the EUA window and are still in Y. Her upgrade comes from the A bucket and if they don't release any A then is She SOL? My upgrade comes from R (as does EUA upgrades) -- if they release some R seats before the EUA runs (which I've seen happen) will my upgrade clear? Or will I just be processed in the normal EUA run -- which is OK with me (PE, B fare, ticket bought 3 months out should put me higher in queue than I normally am)

I guess this boils down to how things get handled when you do a WBC award but are in Y on the domestic leg.

Thanks in advance.
