Missing Segments
I just noticed that I was missing segments on my NWA flight summary on a recent 4 segment itinerary. (One of the 4 segments didn't show up) Thought that was weird, called NWA and had it added... no problemo. (and yes my FF# was on the ticket).
I then looked and I was missing another one already this year... so called back and had it added... curious.
Now go through my e-mails of the last year (and grab all the AMEX travel e-mails for the NWA flights I've had in 2007)... I find 4 more missing segments in 2007. NWA adds them all. NWA FF on all tickets. All NWA metal.
Anyone else seeing segments/flights not showing up?

you may want to check. last year I had 100 segments on NWA metal. With my 4 missing segments, that would be 4% of the time I lost credit for flying in 2007. I've only got 24 segments this year, so with two missing its about 10% missing credit so far with 2008...
NWA added them with out any problems, (and without any reason why they were missing)...

re: missing segments
A couple of years ago I was just short of making platinum. After reviewing my account I discovered enough missed segments/miles to make the difference up. I first called and then emailed them the info. They credited my account right away and I made my Platinum status again. Ever since then I'm anal about checking my account. Every time I do a flight itinerary I check my account online to be sure everything is credited. Usually NW credits within a couple of days of the flight. On codeshares or other airlines sometimes it takes a couple of weeks. Another thing I've learned is that if your original itinerary is changed by them and results in less credited segments/miles then if you call and show them, they will give give you what you would have been credited on the original itinerary. If you're like me and are always sweating making Platinum, then ever mile adds up!
